A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My name is Kathleen Hepworth. I'm a senior studying public relations and technical communications at Iowa State University hoping to gain professional experience in communications and public affairs.
I'm from Waterloo, Iowa, and I'm the fourth Hepworth to attend ISU! I love being active; you can catch me playing volleyball, tennis or jogging on any day Iowa decides to gift its citizens with warm weather. I am very passionate about mental health and sustainable fashion. I enjoy traveling, listening to music, and watching movies, but nothing beats spending time with my friends and family.
I understand how vital it is for messages between organizations and their publics to be considerate, personable, and concise while still conveying an intentional message. That is why after I graduate I want to work in PR as a copywriter or copy editor, help foster and sustain social media engagement, work on campaigns, and use my prowess for writing. I am an excellent writer and would love to contribute my aptitude for tuning pieces of work until they are polished to perfection for any organization.
My first visit to Iowa State was when I was 11, accompanying my older sister to freshman orientation. I fell in love with ISU right then and there, knowing that seven years later I would love it even more. I can't wait to accomplish everything that would make 11 year-old me a proud Cyclone! ❤️
